Word documents won't enlarge -- stay in small window format

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

When I try to open Word doc attachments or create a new Word doc, the doc appears in a tiny window and I can't make the corner operate to pull the window open so I can see entire pages. This doesn't happen when browzing to internet sites, only in Word documents. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

I am having the same problem. It only seems to happen after I wake the computer from sleeping. Hope to hear if someone has a solution.

I see the same issue, but more specifically...

1) I use my MacBook at work with additional 20" display. Displays are not mirrored. At home, or on road... no additional display.

- If I put system to sleep, disconnect, go home, return, connect and wake... all word documents are in a small window (maybe 2" x 3"), but WILL resize.

- If I do the same as above, only open the macbook with no additional display, the word documents are again small windows (same size as above), but I cannot resize them. If I leave them open until I return to the two display configuration... resizing still does not work. Only exiting Word and reopening the documents will allow window resize.

- I do not have this problem with Excel.

You didn't supply your software version numbers, so we can't comment.
