Word does not allow "Save"/"Save As"

Hi all,

I've installed/ removed/re-installed Office 2003
Professional and my Word now does not allow the "Save/Save
As" functionality.

If Save and Save As are missing from the menu try Tools | Customize | On the
commands tab select file then drag the Save commands to the file menu

Hi Paul,

The menu items are very much there. They are "enabled"
also. But clicking/selecting them has no effect...

Whatever the problem is affects the "Auto Recovery" also.
I've gone through the options and ensured that "Auto
Recovery" is enabled, etc, etc....
