Word editor is busy or can't be found

Hello,

I applied the Office XP service patch 1 and 2 to my user's
computer. Now when Word is launched, it freezes as the
inbox is displayed and before the Outlook logo disappears.

I have to end task Outlook, and then go into Outlook in
Safe Mode. Word and Excel work okay. Just Outlook has a
problem.

I have tried repair and detect, and removing and
reinstalling Office XP. The problem is still there. Does
anyone know how to fix this?
