WORD EMBEDDED IMAGE PROBLEM

This is a strange one and would love to know the answer to it so please help!!!

WORD 2003 SP2

A user will receive a word file and open the file to find that all the
images will have a red X in the image boxes if they double click on the image
they can view the images in a separate window but this is obviously very time
consuming. Whereas if Admin logs onto the computer the images show fine? I
have looked into to this for quite some time now and had no look resolving.

I would really appreciate any assistance. Many thanks.

Hi Neil,

Is the Admin logging in via the same file structure of mapped drives?

If you right click on the picture do you get Format Picture or Format Object as a choice?

In either case continue into that dialog and set the Layout style to 'Inline with text, then back in the document use Alt+F9 to
toggle the display between field results (the picture) and field codes. Do you see a field code and if so what does it say?

Hi Bob thanks for your reply and apologies for the delay in replying.

Yes user and Admin are using the same file structure of mapped drives.

If I right click on the images I can see format object and if I choose
inline with text nothing happens. When I press Alt F9 I am seeing:

Embed coraldraw.graphic. 8

Embed word.pic no. 8

Call points Embed word.picure 8

Once again thanks for your help and hope you can sort this very annoying
problem out for me.
