Word Error

Hello,
I got a word doc from a friend and when I tried to open it I got the following error:

word err=1025

Does anyone know what this is? I haven't been able to open it.

You might get this error if you try to open a Word 97 or newer file with Word 6.0 or Word
95. Does this apply to your situation?

Hi Steven,

Are you using a Mac version of Word?

If not then Is it possible the document contains Arabic or perhaps was written on an Arabic version of Word?
