Word/Excel Problems in 2003

I am unable to type any text in both Word and Excel. I
have access to everything else, but new and existing word
or excel documents will no longer allow me to type. I
have a blinking curser and can perform all commands on
the toolbar. Any ideas or suggestions? Maybe somekind
of virus, a command that has been shut-off, anything?

Past reports have confirmed this as the PWSteal.Tarno.B virus.
