Word, Excel - Send to URL

I'm looking for someone to point me towards any information that could help
me develop an Add-on for MS Office (Word and Excel primarily) that would add
a menu option to save a document by HTTP POSTing the file contents to a URL.
Any help would be appreciated as I can't seem to find the appropriate
documentation. Thank you.
