Word.exe, faulting modulekernal32.dll, Problem

Hello

I have a customer who purchased a new PC with XP home on
it. I installed word 2000 from work suite 2000.

But every now and then when the customer tries to exit or
save information in word they will get an error from word.
Click ok and word is gone.

Looking in the event viewer it has the following error.

Faulting application winword.exe version 9.00.2717,
faulting module kernal32.dll, version 5.12600.1106, fault
address 0x0013887.

Have tried removing and reinstalling the work suite. Fault
continues. Tried using the MSICUU program to clean up the
registry after uninstalling but fault still continues.

Does any one know why this is happening or how to fix it.
