Word exported as pdf has line around transparent graphics

When creating a PDF from MS word, either with distiller or
directly to pdf printer, some B&W graphics that were
imported into word ramdomly appear with a thin line around
the boundery box in the PDF.
How do you prevent this? thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,

You might be able to fix this via Tools|options|Compatibility and
checking/unchecking 'Don't blank the area under metafile pictures.
