Word Failure

Does anyone know why my word crashes when I open it up? it
gives me the following message:

AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.3822 ModName:
winword.exe
ModVer: 9.0.0.3822 Offset: 003c2929

This is on a Windows XP version
