Word feature needed

When I was writing a document for my mother, I have experienced a problem. I
have made a tab after a word, and written a sentence. And when I have chosen
to use bullets in selecting the sentence, it was the word before the tab who
was with the bullet !

Why ? Is it possible to make only the sentence with the bullet when using
tab or not ? If I can, please explain me, I have searched but did not match
results.

Maybe a function for "isolate" words will be great.

You need the sentence to be in a separate paragraph from the word before the
tab.
