Word Files not working

I can go into a file and open it, but I can't save it or
print it. When I try to save it as something else or
print it the file freezes and the title bar on the top and
on the bottom start to flash.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this or trouble
shoot it. I have uninstalled Office 97 and reinstalled
and it still doesn't work.

Norton Anti Virus? Open NAV and disable the office plug-in.

Open Norton AV and click Options. In the Miscellaneous section turn
off "Enable Office Plug-in".
