I have a friend that is having a slight glitch Word XP. We are runnin
identical set ups. Windows Xp and Office XP and doubled checked all o
our settings and they seem to be the same. The problem she is havin
is that she has several files with pictures inserted in them Formatte
Layout Tight Right and has a number list going in them.

Every time she hits the enter button the window flashes. She is abl
to continue with no lock up but it is aggravating to see that windo
flash. She disabled Sticky Keys Notification and it still does it.
had her disable the Office Add In in Norton 2003 and still the sam
thing. She rebooted several times and it still persists. This doe
not happen all the time. Thanks

My guess is that pressing the enter key is slightly moving the graphic and
forcing the page to be redrawn. Without a fast graphics card, it is causing
the screen to flicker. Check that the latest graphics driver is installed
and the graphics are using the correct settings.

If you are running Nortons AV you should go into the options menu and then into misc and untick the OFFICE PLUGIN option. Good luck.

NAV does cause similar problems but it isn't just for documents with
graphics in.
