Word/Font

In an office environment: If secretary A opens a Word document created by
anyone but herself, the font, when printed, is significantly reduced.
Secretary A has checked all of her settings, and they are correct. To trick
the program Secretary A has been getting Secretary B to open, save and close
the document, which usually works. I would like a better solution to this
problem.

Check the setting for displaying balloons for comments. See if setting it
for "Never" helps.
It is on the Track Changes tab of
Tools > Options.

It sounds like the results of printing the document with balloon comments,
all right. It will print out at about 2/3 the page size whether you have any
comments to print or not. If don't want to turn the option off, just make
sure that when you print, you take a look at that bottom part of the print
dialog box where it says "Print What:". On the drop-down list, select
"Document." It sounds like what you have selected right now is "Document
showing markup."

Hope this is helpful, too.
