In Word Office 2003. The Footer autotext filename and path gives the entire name of the computer as well as c:\etc...where as XP2000 Office Standard Word does not and the path begins with c:\documents and settings\user\MyDocuments\filename. How to change this to reflect this path in 2003 would be my question. I'm not seeing this, but then I'm on a standalone computer running Windows
2000. This might be an effect of using a later version of Windows or being
on a networked computer. You might want to try asking in
word.mailmerge.fields or word.application.errors.

Actualy Susan the problem is nonexistant
The autotext path is beginning at My documents only the default user name included the name of the computer. Duh
I fixed it by setting up a new user on their computer rather than just the administrator account and the path was reduced
Thanks for the time you took. Next time I will ckeck the error out myself before posting a request
My apology. You are really very helpfull even by just reading the responses to others questions
