Word Freezes doing "save as"

After installing all the critical updates, Microsoft Word
freezes when I attempt a "save as" and attempt to go back
to the desktop using the "save in" box.

When I attempt to close the file, I get a "program is not
responding" and have to exit the program.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Hal,

Try the following trouble shooting steps (stop at the step when the problem
is resolved).

-Start word in admin mode by typing winword /a at start-->run prompt &
check for the problem
-Try Opening word in Safe mode by pressing shift key while starting word &
check for problem
- Try changing the printer driver.

If fails,
-Uninstall Word
-Clear the Office registry keys in HKCU and HKLM
-Rename C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
-& Reinstall
