have to press the power button to reboot, and everytime
after I hit the power button, it always shows the ending
programe window with the programe name "ixdict poswnd".
Two days ago, i installed the officexp updates, but the
problem is still there.

Sounds familiar with XP Home. You may need to re-
install XP Home or upgrade to XP Pro to solve your
problem.

Uninstall Office XP, restart your computer, go to the c: drive, Program
Files, delete the Microsoft Office folder. Restart your computer and the
reinstall Office. Also, before installing Office XP, disable your antivirus
program.

Andre, I hope you are not trying to be malicious, but this advice is totally
uncalled for here and is equivalent to telling a user to Format C: to solve
his problems. Reinstalling Word very rarely solves problems.

Several possibilities come to mind.

1. If this only happens in one particular document,
documents that are created from the same template, or
just when attempting to copy/paste one particular item,
then the problem could be corruption. The item you are
attempting to copy and paste could contain corruption. Or
the document or template used to create the documents
could be corrupted. This is very common. Replacing the
corrupted template or document takes care of the problem.

2. A corrupted normal.dot template can cause this type of
problem too. Do a search for the normal.dot template and
delete it. A new template will be created upon reopening
word.

3. Try going to HELP and run DETECT AND REPAIR. Many
times this takes care of strange Word problems.

Hope this helps.

Joann:

Thanks for your information, but none of these worked.

Is that possible that my memory is bad?
