Word freezes?

I recently changed a few things on my system and now I
can't get word (from office 2000) to work. My system
freezes completely, and when I press ctrl/alt/delete - it
says I'm dangerously low on resources - Wierd because I
have tons of space left on all drives. I even removed
office 2000, then reinstalled it, but still the same
problem with word? Maybe it's a template problem, since I
deleted a couple last week?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Gareth,

Check your Virtual Memory Settings and make sure its at
least double your physical memory on your PC. Control
Panel > System > Performance

Then make sure all updates are installed on your PC.
Install all the service releases.

Good Luck!

Gareth,

I have had the same problem occur today. I also get the
messages: Msgsrv32 caused a general protection fault in
module USER.EXE@0003:00003bab. I don't have all my files
backed up and am unable to do so with this problem. Have
you had any luck? You can repond to me under the new
posting for Jan4 @ 6:53 PM Thanks. K

"6:53 p.m." is meaningless in Internet terms. I'm seeing your previous post
timestamped 8:53 p.m. Users on the other side of the world may be seeing it
as 6:53 a.m. tomorrow. Unless you cite times in GMT, they're pointless. It
would have been more helpful to cite the message subject line ("Word
2000-system is dangerously low in resources!").

In any case, see
