word freezing--font/print problems?!

Hi there. Word is freezing whenever I open certain
documents (but it's able to open others without a
probleM). Other symptoms: the font pull down menu in the
toolbar is REALLY slow; trying to open the file>print or
format>font dialog boxes causes Word to crash.

I've tried repairing the Word files, uninstalling and
reinstalling, but nothing has worked so far. I thought
maybe it's a problem with the fonts?! Could only find
this from Microsoft, and it's Mac-related and old...

All these symptoms are pointing to your printer driver as the source of the
problem. Try deleting and reinstalling the printer (preferably with an
updated driver if you can find one).
