Hi,

Word 2008 frequently quits for no discernible reason.

A message appears stating that an error has occurred (though what error is not specified), and that I may send information re the error to Microsoft, which I do.

Word then relaunches, recovering my files, but versions prior to those which are most recent (i.e. prior to those I last saved).

I'd be grateful for your help (Microsoft will only help for a fee of $49). Thank you.

Sincerely,

Eric

Hi Eric -

Carefully follow the procedures detailed here for the "Unexpected quit while
in use" problem. If you continue to have a problem come back with Office &
OS versions specifics along with any additional details you can supply.
