Word Graphics with drawing canvas

I insert a graphic into PowerPoint using Insert Object,
Microsoft Word Picture, which opens Word with a drawing
canvas. I paste a copied picture into the canvas.

How can I select the canvas so I can make it fit? I used
to do it all the time with the fit button, but that is
unenabled and I cannot find any way to make it work.

Hi Sue,

The 'fit' button works when there are at least two
objects in the canvas. Otherwise you can use the sizing
handles to drag the edges of the canvas.

You may also want to post this in the Powerpoint newsgroup,
