Word Hyphenation feature is not available when I open Word 2003 do

When I open Word 2003 documents with Word 2007 the hyphenation feature does
not work, it gives me the message that "word hyphenation feature is not
available" I have checked the language setting and all updates have been
installed. Help!

Make sure the text has not been formatted as "Do not check spelling or
grammar" (in the Language dialog) or "Do not hyphenate" (in the Paragraph
dialog).

When I open word7 I get a message that the feature of hyphenation is not avilable
