Word Insert Picture menu has excessive Clip Collection entries

When I try to insert a picture in Word, the pull down memu has an extensive
list of Clip Collection entries......it takes a long time for the bottom of
the menu to appear. If I highlight one of these Clip Collection entries,
notting happens. How do I delete them?
