Word inserted Page Break after 16 lines!

I have Word 2002, and for some reason Word has inserted a Page Break i
my document after only 16 lines! The remaining pages are paginate
correctly by Word (to fit an 8 1/2" x 11" page) but I am completel
stumped as to how I can remove the page break - even the help des
couldn't help.

Any suggestions? Also, there is one more quirk. This document is mad
of several 4-line sections that I copy/pasted and then edited. When
remove 1 of these sections, the bad page break disappears. But as soo
as I type a new line where the section was, and then hit <CR>, the ba
page break reappears :-(

Thanks!

There are some settings that could cause Word to insert page
breaks where you don't expect them. On the Line and Page Breaks
tab of the Paragraph dialog box (to display the dialog, select
Paragraph on the Format menu), check if the problem paragraphs
have "Page break before", "Keep lines toghether", or "Keep with
next" checked.

"Page break before" does just that: forces a page break before
the paragraph that has this option set. "Keep lines toghether"
forces all the text of a paragraph to be on the same page. "Keep
with next" keeps a paragraph on the same page as the following
paragraph.

These options could be very useful. For example, if you use "Page
break before" with headings, you don't need to insert manual page
breaks or "Next page" section breaks before each heading that
should start a new page. However, if one or more of the options
is applied by mistake, it could produce undesired results.

Go into Normal View, or click ¶ on the standard toolbar, so that you can see
your section breaks and delete them properly. Sounds like there may be a
continuous section break attached to the section.
