Word keys (used at installation)

Hello.

I thought I would offer my comments on this situation. I have had the
same problem and resolved it quite handily.

In another newsgroup (on the Microsoft website) on November 27, someone
using only the name "Miller" said he/she was having serious diffulties
accessing Word due to a missing key. If Word is already installed, my
guess as to the best way tp proceed would be to follow the instructions
in the Microsoft article on the subject, as was suggested, but there is
also a secondary method which works quite well. Belarc Advisor should
be able to find it and put it up on the screen as well. Go to their
website for a free download. Follow the instructions, and minutes
later, you will have a complete profile of your computer, and the keys
to Windows and other programs will be there.

For me, Advisor worked equally well in Windows98 and 98SE. I had a
little trouble in -XP, but I think that was due to a faulty download: on
the second attempt for -XP, things went smoothly.
