Word launches with document

Whenever Word launches, whether directly from the program
start or as a new e-mail message in Outlook, it always
opens with a stored doc. file (namely, my wife's
resume). This just recently started. Of course, I can
delete the text on the file and do whatever I need to do,
but I can't seem to get the program to start up on a
blank document or with no document at all. If I select
open new document, up comes the resume.

Any ideas?
