Word line numbers verus line number from Information(wdFirstCharacterLineNumber

Hello,

I use the Information(wdFirstCharacterLineNumber)
property to get the line number. If tables are present in
a document the Information(wdFirstCharacterLineNumber)
returns the 'real' line number, which is not consistent
with the line numbers, added by word (pagesetup, add line
numbers).

Any suggestions on:
1. Returning the line number as added by word using vba or
2. Even better, adding 'real' line numbering to a
document (and thus also number lines in tables).
