Word macro undo checkpoint - one UNDO to undo the entire macro

I'd like to encapsulate the effect of an entire Word macro into a
single UNDO step. For example, if my macro inserts text & makes three
format changes, I want UNDO to undo all four steps in one go, not one
at a time.

What I'm imagining is being able to set a checkpoint at the beginning
of the macro so that one UNDO rolls back to that checkpoint.

Does Word VBA support something like that? I've looked in a lot of
different places, but to no avail. Can someone here help?

Thanks,
Yosh

Hey Shauna,

Thanks - that works great!
Has anyone added the code to make it work with the undo buttons also?
(not that it really matters to me - I use ctrl-Z).

Hi Yosh,

Not much hope, I'm afraid, unless you put your own simple Undo/Redo buttons
on the toolbar instead of the fancy built-in split/dropdown version that
can't be intercepted.

Klaus
