Word Memory Leak

I just noticed lately that whenever I start word by
itself or as the outlook email editor, the memory used
(as seen through the winword.exe process in task manager)
is rapidly increasing without stop.

Is this a known issue? What are the fixes?

OS: WinXP
Office version: Office XP

I have the same problem. Word builds memory without any
reason and crashes about every 30 minutes. Quite hard to
get work done when you have to recover documents all the
time. I have tried with different documents open with the
same result.

Turn off Speech Recognition.
