Word mess

I have removed all the spyware. Scanned for viruses. After a Word doc is
saved when you reopen it all you see is little squares and symbols where the
letters should be. All of the older docs now display the same way.

Bummer...do you have access to a second PC to see if the documents are
trashed or if Word is the source of the problem?

One thing you could try is to delete the Normal template file (make sure
it's the one for your login account). You didn't mention the version of Word
or the OS you are using...it will be a little different for Vista and/or
Word 2007 versus WinXP and Word 2003.

That's just a quick thing to try...if that doesn't work, I'm sure someone
will have a more elegant suggestion.
