I am using windows 98 for over 7 years. Yesterday I tried
to attach a picture to a website. All my pictures were
converted to an ("A" logo) and no longer accessable.
Then I tried to open many of my word files. They are no
longer accessable. I did not try my excell files for fear
of loosing them too.
A message appears at tiems: Cannot find the file 'C:\My
Documents/word/.doc' (or one of its components.)
Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all
required libraries are availabe.
Do I have a virus on my system that eleimnated my files?
The internet access, email etc. is still working.
I tried to download MS.com/.../wd97au.exe
The message was: Could not update the Web Authoring Tool.
