Word not operating properly on Vista

B

Barbara K-G

I am having lots of trouble lately with Word. No matter how many times I
restart or shut down completely, I am unable to make corrections to my
documents or even get an insertion point. It doesn't respond at all when I
attempt to highlight a word or when right-clicking on a mispelled word. The
resulting message says that Microsoft Word has stopped working because a
problem caused the program to stop working correctly, and the only option I
have is to close the program. Can anyone help?

Hi Jay,

For some reason, I cannot resist reading DixIt as DitchIt. I guess you
meant "FixIt"

The actual wording on the button is "Fix it," which is reasonable enough in
context, but I do wish, for convenience in referring to it, that they had
called it either "Fixit" or "Fix It."
