Word not printing linked pictures unless browsed through

Hi everyone!

My problem is the following (Word 2003 on Win XP)

I have many pictures linked into a document. If I print it the pictures
do not print along (I just get empy frames with X icon) unless I "see"
through all the pages on the screen.

Anybody any idea what could be the cause of it?

You might try reversing the print order. This forces Word to go through the
entire document and render it before starting to print.
