word (office 2000PRO)crshaes when I close any document

When I try to close any word document I get a
message "runtime error this application must close"

I have Office pro 2000 with SR-1 update running on Windows
XP. It did it before upgrading to SR-1.

Hi Maurice,

Did Word come installed as part of Works Suite? If it did then I suspect
the Works Suite Add-in is causing the crash.

If you aren't using the Works Suite Add-In functionality:
- Works Task Launcher
- Works Mail Merge functionality, (e.g. if you are using Works Address
book)
- Word to Works converter.

Then go to your Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the
"Microsoft Works Suite Add-in" since the add-in is known to cause its share
of headaches.

Note you are not uninstalling Word or Works - just an add-in that provides
additional functionality to Word.
