When I close program i get message...."changes have been made that affect the
global template, Norma. Do you want to save those changes?

I haven't done anything and I get this message. I cannot close the program
till I choose no.

It sounds like you have an add-in that is modifying your Normal template
each time Word starts. Here's an article that should help you resolve this
