Word only allow narrow one col.

Office 2007 Word will only allow a very narrow column of text at left
margin. How do I get rid of that and get a normal page?

I am not sure what you want. Do you want columns of text or do you want
a ordinary page of text?

Assuming you don't want columns then turn them off (on my older version
that is under the top line menu, [Format] [Columns] Your version may be
different.

If Word opens each new document that way, then you need to change the
template. Read up on templates in the help file. I fear they instructions
for them may have changed enough that if I were to give you a suggestion
based on my older version, it might confuse more than help.
