Word opens when Outlook is launched

Word and Outlook 2000. When Outlook is configured to "use
Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages", there is a
problem whenever Outlook is launched it automatically
launches Word. And then when you send an e-mail it
launches Word again. Then if you close Word it shuts down
Outlook.

That's because you're using Word to edit your messages in Outlook. If you
use the Outlook editor, Word will not open.
