Word paste error

I know I'm not the only suffering this problem as it's
happening on a few of my clients machines also but...

Running Word 2003 as part of Office Pro.
If you copy an item from another application (eg Internet
Explorer) and paste it into a Word document, you get what
looks like a mobile phone icon displayed instead. If I
then recopy the information it pastes okay.

All service packs and updates are installed.

Annyone come across this before or got any suggestions?

Have you tried using Paste Special from the Edit Menu, and choose
Unformatted Text?

The only options it gives me is to paste it as either a bitmap or device independent bitmap but this is text that i'm copying from another source (be it excel, notepad, another word document etc.). And if you go back to the source and do Alt-C to copy it again without reselecting it, the text pastes across fine
It always seems to be the first time you paste something when you start Word. All other pastes work fine.

A picture is a picture, text is text.

Well I had got Bluetooth drivers installed but fail to see how this is affecting it

Did a bit more testing over the Bank Holiday weekend and managed to get it to do the same when data is copied out of Excel into Word also. Again, it's only the first time Word is used in a session but it pastes an image of what looks like a mobile phone instead of the actual data

And to the person from the reply before, thanks, I know the difference between text and a picture and can happily demonstrate I am copying either a line or block of TEXT and it is pasting a PICTURE

I've knocked up a quick webpage so you can see what I'm on about
