Word freezes whenever I copy and paste anything from the web. Any idea what the problem is?

Have you applied the latest Service Pack and patches for your version of
Word? What version of Word are you running?

This may be similar to my problem (Copying from Web
Archive pages (.mht) files posted at May 11 2004 12:33AM)
when I tried copying text and images offline.
Try Andre's suggestion - from IE, open the web page for
editing using MS Word and copy and paste there.
or, save the page to your PC as a Web Archive page,
disconnect from the Internet, then edit the.mht page
using MS Word and copy and paste
It worked for me.
