Word Permissions

Im looking for some help with Microsoft Word, my dad has
been writing a 4000 word essay for ages now. He finally
completed it and when he went to save it an error message
came up about file permissions or something and it
closed, when he reopened it the essay had been replaced
by squares, some text was still there but most of it was
squares.

Id like to know if there was anyway in getting his essay
back, even if it means losing a little of the work.

Any help would be appricated. Either here or preferable
in e-mail to [email protected]

Open the document in a simple text editor (e.g. NotePad) and see if you can
see the text. If it is still garbage, then there is little you can do to
recover this.
