Word prevents computer from going to standby!

We have decided to move to a central profile system using roaming
profiles, folder redirection and offline files. We have encountered a
problem where Word prevents the computer from going to standby. As soon
as Word is closed the computer can standby without problem. This is only
been a problem since the move to Folder Redirection and Offline Files.
The following shows up in the Event logs:

Source: Win32k
Category: None
Type: Warning
Event ID: 240
User: N/A
Description:
A request to suspend power was denied by WINWORD.EXE.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The only thing that I found on the subject was that someone redirected
their Application Data folder back to their roaming profile. I would
prefer to redirect that out of the roaming profile to speed up the
login/logout process as much as possible.

Microsoft Word Information:
Microsoft Office Word 2003 (11.6568.6568) SP2

Office applications that allow standby (all same version):
PowerPoint
Excel
Publisher
OneNote
Access

Office applications that do not all standby (all same version):
Word
Outlook (dependency on Word)
Project

I hope to resolve this problem quickly so that we can move our users to
roaming profiles.

Thank you,
Robert LeBlanc
