Word preview pane in Office 2007 with Win7

How do I fix the problem listed below?

I cannot see anything in the preview pane for Word docs. I have gone to
Open, Organize, Layout and clicked Preview pane. I get the message, "This
file cannot be previewed because of an error in the Microsoft Office Word
previewer."

Sorry, but this is the group for Mac Word. You need the Widows flavor:
