I dont know weather you can help or not!
PC with me, 96M RAM 40G h/d
I have read your articles on 'problems opening word' tried deleting =
registary items, deleted start-up items, deleted normal.dot, uninstalled =
norton antivirus (it was only disabled before), changed the default =
printer & reinstalled driver.
word 2000 was working ok, then suddenly sticks on start-up screen with =
out-of-memory message, and has to be turned off & on again.so I =
uninstall/stopped all items running in the background, still the same. =
Uninstalled/reinstalled word still no good.
uninstalled word 2000, installed Word xp, it starts ok, on longish =
documents (30 pages) moving up & down the page with pgup/pgdn it locks =
up, mouse cursor moves ok, can't do anything else. although there is a =
clicking comming out of the pc speaker, the same when I press keyboard =
buttons, as if the buffer is full.
uninstalled word xp, installed word 87, this works fine.
any ideas, the owner of the pc has a registered copy of win2000 so need =
to have this working, not my 'borrowed copies' of 97 & xp ...
Now I have run-out of ideas
