word says correctly spelled words are not correct

In typing documents, words that ARE spelled correctly are underlined in red,
WORD 2003 is trying to tell me that these words are spelled incorrectly.
What might be the problem, a corrupted file?

Can you give us some specific examples? Please include a complete
sentence and let us know what word(s) is/are underlined, that will help
to figure out the problem.
