-----Original Message-----
I am using word 2003 and Windows xp. I am typing the
words "learning disabilities" numerous times in my
dissertation. I am wondering is there a way to make a
keyboard short cut that would type these words for me.

This is overkill. AutoCorrect is the way to go. Not to mention that
Alt+anything is a poor selection for a shortcut key because it is very
likely already assigned as the accelerator key for a menu.
