Word should have a page sorter like MSPowerPoint's Slide Sorter.

Maybe the next release of Word for Windows should have a page sorter function
similar to the slide sorter function in MS Power Point. That would be
especially helpful for piecing together documents and reports without losing
pagination and formatting.

Word doesn't have fixed pages that can be treated like PPT slides. The pages
are created on the fly by Word's background pagination engine working
together with the printer driver. (See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TextReflow.htm for the kind of
trouble this can cause.) That means there will never be a page sorter in
Word, unless the whole program is rewritten from scratch.

If your document is properly organized by using headers with appropriate
levels, you can use the Outline view to rearrange them (not specifically
pages, but headers with their associated text). See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/UsingOLView.htm.

Also, in case you haven't heard, the next release of Word (in Office 2007)
is just about to finish its beta test, so it's way too late for another
feature to be included.
