Word should not close when I undo a border line.

everytime I undo a border line (ie. I have typed 4 blank lines, I press enter
at the end of the line and it autoformats to a borderline.), Word closes
completely -- very frustrating. I have the student and teacher edition.

What you're describing is not normal behavior. That can indicate a variety
of different problems. I would try the steps shown here to see if one of
