Word Suggestions for underlined squiggly lines in text

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I am a Word PC user now getting used to MAC Word. I teach and I am used to correcting papers in WORD. When squiggly lines appear, I used to go to the tool bar and was given suggestions for rewrite. I have set the preferences for APA, grammar, passive voice etc. Squiggly lines appear however, when I highlight the text and go to grammar check, nothing happens. With PC suggestions would appear in a box at the top of the screen. Does MAC word have a similar function? If so, how do I access it?

Thank you.

Right-click the squiggly lines.

The Mac Word function works exactly the same as the PC. The dialog appears
only if you do a Spelling and Grammar check from the Tools menu.

For the squiggly lines from the "As you type" spelling and grammar check,
right-click to see the suggestions.

Cheers
