Word Template created in Word 2008 (mac) won't save on Word 2007 (vista)

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC I designed a Word template in Word 2008 (mac), but when I attempt to use and save in Word 2007 on Vista I get an error message that it can't be saved.

The template opens as a blank page. When I edit on Word 2008 for Mac, save it as a .docx and open it in Word 2007 Vista, it can be seen, but it still can't be saved.

I've saved the template as a .dotx file, as I should. So I'm confused as to why it won't work on 2007 Vista. They're the most current versions on both platforms and use the "x" format.

Any suggestions? I can paste in the error message if you need it.

Thanks!
David

Hi David:

The template contains some object that does not exist on the Windows box.

That would probably be something to do with PDF or QuickTime. Installing
QuickTime for Windows might fix it. Installing the latest version of Adobe
Reader for Windows might fix it.

Cheers
