Word Template Opening Very slow

When I try to open a document in Word that was composed with a template, it
opens in the template so slow and equally slowly when the document loads
until the cursor is set.

*All* documents are composed with templates. If this is something peculiar
to one particular template, it may be corrupt, or it may require links to
sources that are not available. You haven't provided enough information to
evaluate.

What you are experiecing was a minor problem to one that I recently
resolved with the help of an Engineer from the MS Word team. Rather
than reposting my entire post, please see my last response in this
thread:

The info in the "Select a new template:" may help you out. My
particular problem occured because a template was used to create a file
and the template used is no longer present on the machine. Not the end
all be all cause for this error, but in my case this is what caused it.
